General assembly and International meeting

The international meeting is a time of reflection, sharing and celebration where a true international community is created. It is organised by the international coordinating team. The General Assembly is organised by the Board of Directors. Delegates represent Faith and Light members from around the world. They discern and elect board members, approve any amendments to the Constitution and set priorities for the next five years. 

This year, 150 delegates (two from each Faith and Light province) took part in the international meeting. A total of 54 countries out of 86 were represented. Unfortunately, nine delegates (3 from Egypt, 1 from Kuwait, 1 from Syria, 1 from Rwanda, 1 from the DRC, 1 from the Central African Republic and 1 from the Dominican Republic) were unable to obtain their visas. So that as many people as possible can watch the meeting, we have been able to broadcast the highlights of the week on Zoom and share them live on the Faith and Light Facebook group. These videos will soon be available for replay! A special issue of "Up Sails" dedicated to this event will also be published in September. 

Our heartfelt thanks go to the province of "France Est Pétillant" for agreeing to host this event, and to all the members of the local team, without whom it would not have been possible! Many thanks to the St Thomas Centre, where the week took place, for their warm welcome and kindness. Finally, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the donors who supported financially Faith and Light International so that as many delegates as possible could take part in this event!
